Are we too critical of China's clean energy record? In a discussion with Climate One, Peter Greenwood, Executive Director of China Light and Power, describes how lower prices from Chinese renewable energy subsidies are a "beneficial story" for the rest of the world. Similarly, Julian Wong, former Advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy says clean energy subsidies are crucial, noting the vastness and success of fossil fuel subsidies. Is China's push for renewable manufacturing daunting to other nations, or inspiring?
